Vodacom Technician and service apalling
My Samsung A71 was receiving calls, though I could not hear the other person and vice versa, I took my phone into the Vodacom repair center in umhlanga Zenith drive, I called after a week, on a Friday to check progress, was told they replacing the speaker and would be ready by Monday, and costing is R712, another whole week passed, I called to check on progress, was told phone is ready to be fetched, picked it up the Saturday, phone worked for 2 phone calls and was back to not hearing the caller, went back on Sunday morning after seeing their operational times on the website, get there they are closed. Go back home, my husband dropped it off on Monday, stating the same fault again, 2 days later, I called to check on progress, says no fault found and phone was ready, just kept there. Picked up phone worked for another week and back to not hearing the caller, went on Sunday, again closed, took time off work on Monday, got there at 9am asked sales lady for her number and I dialed her, she could not hear me, she took the phone to the backroom as is to show technician the fault, waited an hour as I was told he was" opening it up", thereafter I had to go back to work phone is still at Vodacom I called today the 5/3/2024 to check progress on repair, was told no fault found, yet I showed the sales person in a test personally of the fault.
- I am upset at being charged R712
- What fault was originally found if speaker was replaced and problem that I logged in the phone originally persists. -Showing the fault personality, still no fault found so question is why was I charged for the technician assuming it was the speaker.
- Loss of time, cost of fuel.
-No feedback to the customer unless they call numerous times to ringing phones on all options selected. - Why did the technician open up the phone? if no fault which was shown personally by myself and sales person in front shop.
Is the Technician competent, warranty for 3 months..... Confused if they expect me to bring in my phone every few days for the next 3 months at my cost to be told... No fault found.
