Vodacom taking advantage of vulnerable customers
Vodacom changed the status of my number without my authorization or consent. This is fradulent. I have a contract with Vodacom for the past 4 years which I paid R1000 for and my account was always up to date and did not owe Vodacom a single cent. Now my contract ended and I got a phone call from one of the consultant at Vodacom who wanted to retain me. I expressed my concern about not wanting to pay R1000 monthly anymore but the consultant did not budge and mentioned I will loose my line. I was being forced to stay on by the consultant which I did not have a choice but had to agree to a month to month for R30 after he indirectly threatened me that I will loose my number. I was told that my number has been changed to month to month for R30 and was ok with the R30 monthly payment. Few days later I got a text stating my line has been changed to prepaid although I already agreed to a month to month contract with Vodacom for R30 and I called Vodacom to understand what was going on and why was my number status changed to prepaid without my consent and I could not get any help. Few days later my line was blocked and not working till date. Contacted Vodacom and up to date there was no solution. Also there's an excess amount of R1500 that was left in my contract account which was attested to by one of the consultants at Vodacom because I made excess payment into my account and I was told to ask for a refund and I have done this and up to date Vodacom has not refunded me. I have heard a lot of negative things about Vodacom from other customers but I did not know I will be the next victim of their fradulent activities. Vodacom is taking advantage of vulnerable customers and this is not ok and people need to be aware of this
