Vodacom taking advantage of the elderly

After having declined a package with a subscreption of R1000 per month, which includes data that I will never use because, appart from not being able to use the internet - ironic because I am using the internet right now? Well, my grandchild is doing it for me - I was given a basic Nokia phone. Upon finding out that I was paying so much for services that I did not need and had rejected, I then visited a Vodacom Shop in Greeacres, Port ELizabeth, to remedy the situation. I have since been sent from pillar to post within Vodacom with not the slightest sign of joy. Instead, I received consessions from the staff saying that my contract should be cancelled and to get a refund for what I have paid and not used thus far, however, nobody seems to have the authority to do so.

I am an 80 year-old black man. I CANNOT use the internet and all these fancy things. I do not even understand them. All I wanted was a package that would allow me to make calls and receive text messages.

Note: The agent that was helping me had told me the Weekender package was not available anymore and I recently found out that that was a lie.
