Vodacom takes no responsibilities for damages

I took my two month old IPhone 6 to the Eastgate Vodacom repair centre because the earphone jack wasn't working. It was returned to me with the screen protector smashed. It had gone in with a hairline crack and was returned unusable. And apparently that is not their responsibility. The manager of the store says that he doesn't want to take in phones with screen protectors. So either you destroy your screen protector by taking it off or by the service centre smashing it. Doesn't sound like a customer friendly deal.
