Vodacom takes more than 3 months to cancel my upgrade even though they told me it was cancelled over the phone 3 times
Let me tell you a story... So on the 14th of June I got a call from a third party company employed by vodacom that I was due for an upgrade. I explained to her that I didn't want a contact right now and I just wanted to keep going without a contact. She explained to me that there was this great deal for just airtime and I thought it sounded nice but that I really couldn't talk to her right now. She had me agree to this deal and I told her I really couldn't talk now and that she please call me back. You guessed it. She never did. So they send me these Microsoft CDs and I sign without checking. My mistake again. Immediately I go to a vodacom shop and tell them I don't want this please cancel it here are the items. Ash was very helpful but obviously he couldn't help me but gave me the numbers to call. They told me they couldn't help me because it was a third party and that I had to call this number on Monday ( it was a Friday). Mind you, I am supposed to have the right to cancel a contract if I want to. But no. They needed to fetch the items. I called so many times and had so many people send me to the next person. I had three people tell me it was cancelled then the new month rolls around and they take my money. I'm still on this contract. 3 months later. So now I thankfully Phatu has given me her email and is trying to solve this for me. But please know that the company that is supposed to pick up the items hasn't called me and supposedly called me on Monday (my call log will begs to differ) so I gave them my number even though they probably have it. So vodacom refuses to cancel even though I canceled it in time and it is my right but because people on their end won't do their job I am stuck waiting. I really really hope this can be resolved next week but I have to say this. The fact that you can't cancel at a shop is the dumbest thing vodacom has ever tried. Never ever talk to the people who try to give you an upgrade or deal on the phone. Ever. Learn from me.
