Vodacom takes Data and you don't know about it
I bought R29 airtime on Monday, loaded it onto my Blackberry phone and left it alone (with the previous balance, the total was about R46 or so). Last night (Thursday), I went onto Facebook for literally 5 minutes (I have a computer which I usually go on the net with, wirelessly). I then checked my balance and it was at R14, which I thought was disgusting. However, as I monitored my balance, I noticed that a few cents were going off every 10 minutes or so. I shut everything down, even removing the battery and putting it back, but this continued happening. I phoned Vodacom customer services 082111 and was told to phone 082155 where an adviser told me to switch off my data services as something called V Life was taking the money, but could not tell me what V Life was and how it was connected to Vodacom. This is not acceptable, how can this V Life take money in the background without notifying me? or Vodacom notifying me (even after a battery is removed and a phone switched off and on?) It must have been draining the airtime from Monday without me knowing. As far as I'm concerned, that is very scaly and nasty, Vodacom, I'm not impressed at all.
