Vodacom take advantage of their customers

During the month of May I bought a 1Gig data bundle at the start of the month which apparently got depleted within 2 days, however, my cellular data usage statistics on my phone didn't show that I used the 1Gig, in fact my usage only amounted to approximately 300mb. I then reluctantly recharged with additional airtime and bought another gig which got depleted within 7 days. Again, this was impossible to me as my cellular data usage does not reflect that this amount of data is being used.

I use wifi at the office as well as at home and only use my cellular data when I have to. I ensure that I turned the "use data when wifi connection is slow" setting off so as to ensure that my data is not being used when the wifi is not at premium speed. Towards the end of May, I bought 250 MB as I knew I would be receiving my monthly R200.00 airtime on the 1st of June. Yesterday I tried to send a Whatsapp and could not because ALL my data and airtime was apparently depleted! Vodacom strategically send an sms notification to its customers when their data is about to deplete or has depleted when their customers DON'T have any airtime so that customers have to buy airtime in order to buy more data, but when customers have airtime, Vodacom don't send an sms notification so that customers deplete their data, unknowingly, because they expect to get notified by Vodacom as usual, and then deplete all their airtime before even knowing that their data has been depleted. This then forces you to buy more airtime and Vodacom end up exploiting customers as you have no other choice if you want to use your phone.

I honestly cannot take this any longer. I constantly waste my money buying gigs and gigs of data that I do not even get to use. I cannot wait until my contract is done with Vocacom so that I do not have to continue feeling frustrated and ****** in this manner.
