Vodacom supporting *****

On the 28th of December 2017 I received a text message from Vodacom informing me my next debit will be for R7599.10, my monthly average is around R1000. I called 082 111 at around 08h35 to be informed by the agent not to worry, they can see it is ***** and would reverse the amount. Happy with the result I did nothing else.

On the 16th of January 2018 I received the same SMS this time informing me that R18 354,92 will be debited. I logged into my account on www.vodacom.co.za, it does not show the other number in question as linked to my account but when I go to my invoices I see I have a combined invoice with another number. I called the contact center agent that informed me she can't see any issue. Only once I gave her the other number could she see it was linked to my account.

I explained my frustration, the context of the previous call and the fact that I really don't want to be hit with a 18k debit order, she just laughed and told me I need to email ********** with a letter and copy of my ID. I told her it isn't for me to clean up the mess, previously I was told it's ***** and I wouldn't have to do anything.

On January 16 I emailed *****Dispute explaining the above with a copy of my ID and on the 22nd I emailed to confirm receipt to no avail. I have also for unrelated reasons cancelled my Vodacom account and have already paid an early termination fee on the 22nd of January. I am yet to receive confirmation on that either and my early termination quote did not include any additional amounts. Clearly there is an issue with my account on the billing side of things.

Well as it stands on the 29th of January Vodacom debited me 18k not withstanding the fact that I have actually cancelled my contract with them already over and above the ********** figure. Retention's doesn't respond to confirm my cancellation, no one from the ***** department has contacted me and here I am underwriting Vodacom's ****** up.

Well Vodacom I charge 30% interest + admin fees, the clock is ticking, fix your mess asap or meet me in the small claims court. As you are a listed entity I shudder to think how much of your revenue must be falsely declared and at risk due to your rogue billing systems.

Reviewer Update
Update: Within a few hours someone called Dominic calls me, very friendly and explains what he thinks is the problem. Seems like another contract was cancelled, incorrectly linked to my account and the billing system is still firing off. As it stands over R15,000 has been debited off my account incorrectly. Everyone I speak to tells me they can see it's a mistake yet I still have not been refunded a whopping 15k! That is someones salary, rent, school fees. It's a stupendous some of money that can choke your cash flow and have a severe impact one ones credit record and yet Vodacom does nothing. I haven't heard back from Dominic after he sent me an email requesting to resend an email I sent weeks ago and again radio silence so sadly the only way to get a response is by using Social Media. You guys messed up, this isn't even an admin issue due to an upgrade or anything related to any action I performed. Out of the blue for no apparent reason a whale of a contract got dumped into my billing profile. Make me fill one more form, sign another affidavit or make me wait any longer and I will go nuclear on you. BTW - My contract cancellation still hasn't been processed either even though I paid my settlement figure on the 16th of Jan and I wasn't joking about the interest that I will be charging you as my bank would charge me.
