Vodacom support is atrocious
I have been a customer of Vodacom since 1997. I have added Vodacom Fibre to my list of services in March this year.
Since then I have had multiple issues with my Vodamail being interrupted, because of some technical issue between the fibre line and the mail server. It takes days to fix every time this happens and every single time we have to start from scratch with the helpdesk wanting me to change my mail settings, which is never the issue.
My latest issue has lasted more than a week now, as per helpdesk ticket # SR***. As a paying customer I am absolutely at their mercy, as they don't allow me to speak to management.
Unfortunately Vodacom is the only service provider of fibre at the complex I'm staying at the moment, but I'm sure that will change. But I'm still locked into a 24 month contract. But this will change, as I hate being their customer.
I've been a very happy customer at MWEB before and even Telkom as far as network stability is concerned, although Telkom's helpdesk was terrible.
Bottom line, use Vodacom at your peril.
It is now 24 hours later and no reply or even a phone call from Vodacom to keep me updated on the status.

A very knowledgeable representative contacted me yesterday regarding the issue, which incidentally sorted itself out in the 24 hours before. He has left me with personal contact details to contact directly, once the issue returns.
This means we have a chance of finding the root cause, which is really what I am after, instead of having to speak to first line support from scratch every time.
