Vodacom Supply Defective Products to Customers

On 29 June 2015, I upgraded one of my contracts online for a Samsung S6. The phone got delivered on the 1st of July 2015, I tried to power up the device but it just went into a restart loop and when it finally went on it just froze.

I contacted Vodacom after sales service to request a replacement device only to be told that I have to wait 7-21 working days for the phone to be picked up by RAM and then have to wait for it to get to the Vodacom warehouse, and then I have to reapply for the contract.

WHY CAN'T I JUST CHANGE IT AT A VODACOM SHOP?
AND WHY CAN'T RAM JUST PICK IT UP AT THE STORE?

I can't believe how absurd this is, I have to wait 21 days for Vodacom's mistake. I called this morning 3 July 2015 and was told by one of the consultants that they don't test each and every device that leaves the warehouse which they should be doing.

Please assist ASAP or just cancel the contact.

***
