Vodacom Sucks!!!

Dear sir/madam

I have been struggling since Sunday, 20 November 2022 to retrieve information regarding my Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra's repair. The insurance refuses to approve the claim as the number used contrasts with the number associated with the contracted holder.

The phone was purchased online on 21 May 2020 and at the time I was assisted by Mekwenah, L with the application process. Furthermore, this individual was aware that the phone was going to be utilised by my son who communicated with the individual on that day. The consultant neglected to inform me that I needed to list my son's number ***) which was being used on the phone.

While trying to sort this matter out, I was referred to different departments which each gave me contrasting stories and failed to assist me with my insurance claim. Furthermore, these consultants came across as not knowing how they can assist me with my query and an inability to direct me to a department that would deal with matters such as these.

After speaking to Roshana on Tuesday, 22 November 2022 (who I felt was quite helpful to me), she explained that a recording of the interaction between myself or my son and the insurance department may be requested to prove that I was not informed regarding the listing of numbers.

I have been a client with this institution since the existence of Autopage and I am extremely frustrated with the service I have received from Vodacom during this matter, I have been paying an insurance fee for the first repair of a phone under this policy. If I had known about this neglectful service I have received, I could have without any issue insured it with Santam (with whom I have an insurance policy).

Depending on the outcome of this letter of complaint, I am considering cancelling my contract subscription with Vodacom and moving to another service provider.

I am willing to discuss this matter telephonically if needed at ***.

Kind Regards

Fairuze Bradlow
