Vodacom SUCKS

On the 7th December I received a call from some .....person at Vodacom. The conversation went something like this. "Mrs Browne, we see you have not upgraded your phone" Me " Yes that is correct"

The idiot on the otherside..."are you planning to" Me not right now. the idiot on the other side.

We see you are paying around R500+++ for so many minutes and so much data. Me "yes" Well says this idiot we see that you are using so many minutes talk time a month and you buy extra data etct evey month... Yes I say. Well we are going to increase your minutes and data to whatever(I cant remeber) and it won't cost you any more than you are paying. I say SO WHAT IS THE CATCH. I was assure that there was NO CATCH.

Cutting a long story short. I dropped my phone (no 30 months old) and it broke. So believing I had an upgrade walked into a Vodacom shop to do an upgrade.

SORRY Mrs Browne, your upgrade is only due in Sept 2018!!!!

It appears that the person on the phone did an upgrade without me agreeing to an upgrade and that was THE CATCH. How convenient, he got his commission and I a *****ed!

Phone up customer care on the 23rd December and ask for a reversal as I did not agree to the contract.

Reference No, 1- ********** 424033. It will take 3 working days.

13th January and 3 follow ups and numerous promises and I am still locked into this "contract" I never agreed to.

I will be contacting the consumer council on Monday morning at 8am (That is 16th January 2017) These ******* must be stopped!!!
