Vodacom sucks

I took out a cellphone contract with Vodacom in 2014 and cancelled it after the 24months had lapsed. To my surprise, I received an email from Vodacom, with the subject line" Vodacom Invoices and statements l ********** -4” on the 15/08/2016 16:51 PM. I couldn't open the attachment. I called customer centre who advised that my account was on pre-legal status which is due to non payment. They asked me to call the Accounts department. I contacted the Accounts department on the 19/08/2016 15:07 PM and spoke to Nqobile. After a lengthy conversation with her trying to convince me that “everything will be sorted out”, Nqobile finally admitted that my account was put on pre-legal status by error considering that I had been paying my account every month via debit order without failure. She promised to send me a settlement letter and log a request for the Legal department to move the pre-legal status. This would take 48 working hours. I then contacted your Legal department and spoke to Lerato, who confirmed that their received the request from Nqobile but would take 48working hours. Lerato also told me that my credit rating would also be updated with this information of my account being on pre-legal status. This would only be corrected after 7 working days from receipt of the settlement letter from Vodacom. I didn’t get the settlement letter as promised. I called the Accounts department and spoke to Maria on the 26/08/2016. She said that the settlement letter was sent to my email address. She advised me to contact the blacklisting department. I called them and Queen told me to call the Legal department. I called your Legal department and spoke to Besham. He asked me to wait ANOTHER 48 working hours for the settlement letter. I refused to accept this and requested to speak to a manager. He put me through to Robbin. She explained that my account was put on pre-legal status when Vodacom was changing their systems. She assured me that “pre-legal” was an internal jargon used to make every department aware that my contract had been cancelled. She said that no information was sent to ITC in this regard. She promised to sent me a settlement letter and an email confirming that my account was never on pre-legal status on the 29/08/2016. I have not received such. Vodacom, your service SUCKS!! THAT'S WHY I WILL NEVER EVER AGAIN TAKE A CONTRACT WITH YOU!

I received an email from Cassandra, with reference EC-0473-284YHY, promising once again that the letter will be sent to me today. I have not received such. I have also not received my settlement letter. I also haven't received a letter confirming that my credit record will not be affect by your "internal jargon" or error. It has been much longer than 48 working hours since my initial request. All that I'm getting is empty promises. Goes to prove how much your service sucks! You have no respect nor integrity for your customers. Im very dissapointed.

Cassandra, Thank you for the settlement letter.

Please send me an email confirming that my credit record has not been affected by the pre legal status that was allegedly an internal jargon according to the legal department manager, Robbin. I find it confusing that the rest of the staff that I spoke to don't know about this jargon yet its internal. They all informed me that it was due to non payment.

According to the Consumer Protection Act‎, Vodacom needs to remove this information from Credit Bureau as I have never missed a payment to you. Its not fair. Why are my rights are being violated by Vodacom. I will not accept it.

Please advice‎ should you need my bank statement as proof.

Awaiting your soonest response.
