Vodacom Submitting an incorrect default with credit bereau.... Clearscore

On the 2nd February, 2026. Vodacom debited my bank account as they normally do.... I checked my clear score account and it shows that vodacom listed a default for the month february, now for that reason my score went down by about +7points.

The debit is adjusted by Vodacom on a monthly basis and it was paid. I don't understand why they would damage my record after having been a client for years.

I have checked on my Nedbank app with is linked to Experian... I can confirm that it shows that i did not pay. My Vodacom statement shows that i paid which offcourse the debit did go through... My worry is the damage caused especially since i am in a process of applying for a home loan... I am concerned that you also do not know that Clearscore gets it's information mainly from Experian. Please sort out this mess and have the bustard response in order...

Good day
Thank you for contacting Experian.
Please provide us with a letter from the credit provider stating that you have never missed payment for the disputed months, unfortunately without the letter we will not be able to assist in removing the missed payment. An account will be reported as being in arears where the consumer makes the payment one day or more after the agreed payment date or when they are paying less than the original agreed instalment. The allocation of the payments is system generated and the system recognizes the payment after due date, regardless of how long after due date the payment was made, as being in arrears for the particular month.
