Vodacom store in Centurion mall lower level
I am a very loyall Vodacom customer for more than 20 years and most of my upgrades are with the Vodacom shop in second floor in Centurion mall
I am myself in sales and know how customers should be treated and also how to to do needs analyses has to be done
In my case i did go trough options on contract and i did ask the sales lady to give me the best phone and the best contract with the amount that i want to pay Knowing that in there sales they pushing certain models in order the get incentivized which i am happy work for i do the same in sales
What frustrates me is when i asked for a Smart watch i did ask for options and what she can offer me
At no stage was i informed about what i needed and what i will use it for ,for there is different models that you can choose ion different packages
At that stage the sales lady just told me that she has only 2 models and that she will recommend the Gt 2e96 for that is the best one she has
i then took it not knowing how it works or what futures it has after i told her that i want one that can answer ext,ext
I even went trough pricing and cot for i said to her that i can buy one for R1300 with all the functions that i need and she said that this watch is the best and even better than the one i want to buy online with the futures i need
after finding out that this watch is more for sport men and women and that it doesn't come with the futures that i need i made call to Vodacom speaking to Francoise
he then said you can bring it in so they can inspect it and let me know if the can exchange it or swap it for what i want or cancel the contract When i got to the store i was told by lady supervisor that it cant be done put the watch under the light to see for any scratches saying there is a small scratch that you could not see with normal light or eye giving me the impression that i am wasting my time to bring it back
I mention to them that the watch was not opened in front of me on the floor as normal to see if all is working or if there was any damages on it not even the phone as i mention the the sales lady when taking delivery that that was there normal practice She said no you going home open and if you not happy with anything i can come back
So long story short
I took it back Monday afternoon for i am working in Boksburg staying in centurion wasting my time going in to the store to sort it out only getting more excuses of why they cant help me
I am in the motor trade and if i dont do my needs analyses correct or my work then the onus is on me
Why does Vodacom always walk away for there as problem at the store and to me as customer when i was not giving or explained all my right and get equipped to prevent scratches as they say for when there is a problem to help me as a customer or at least offer screen protector or saying don't war the watch or something all they say is that unit is not exchangeable or no clause on returning
on tee managers investigation he could see on the video that he salesperson did not take me trough the different option of watches on the floor only taking her word were she says io did show the customer all the watches on the pamphlet
i have witnesses that was with me at time of purchase that can confirm that she only offered the best one that she ad on the the floor
I mention to the manger that i will not collect the watch to Couse any more problems and asked that he can cancel the contract and issue me the correct watch that i want
nope they cant do it for i wear the watch and the small dent in the box and the so call claimed scratch on the screen that you can see
So were does this leave me or can i go to the Ombudsmen
Like to hear from Vodacom
I know they have boxes at the back for the inside of the box has a small section that is bended due to getting the watch wires and booklet out
once again i went for upgrade on the 6/11/2021
So where do we go from here seems like Vodacom is just after money and so the store as well in stead of looking after there loyal customers
Can Vodacom please make contact with me or must i go for legal advise and support

No contact from Vodacom yet
Shows that they don't care about the customers
So does this means we going the route of the Ombudsman maybe they will then contact me
