Vodacom Store Hatfield

I will never forget the 1sft of April. I had taken a friend to the Vodacom store, in Hatfield Plaza. He was getting a new phone. As we sat in line my phone died and I asked of it was possible to get it charged. They were happy to charge my phone for me. As we sat in line for +30min, we finally got my friend's phone and was time to leave. O then asked the gentleman who was chargingy phone at his desk for it. He then started looking for it and asking if anyone had seen it. At this point I'm thinking maybe he was pulling an Aprils fool prank, but he was serious. He went to the back in the offices for quite a long time, he then came back and asked me to come see CCTV footage. There was a who entered the store unassisted from entry, while workers didn't have any clients at their stations, went straight to the guys table, took my phone and left. I know maybe these things happen all the time but what was said after was disheartening. I was told that they won't replace my phone and that I was charging at my own risk. They even had the nerve to say one of there work phones were taken in the store the previous week. This could have been the opportunity to update security measures to ensure that clients are safer. Now I have for victim to their ignorance.

Dear Customer, Thank you for the time and effort taken to voice your dissatisfaction to our office. It is with the cooperation and feedback from valued clients such as yourself that we are able to identify any areas of improvement within our organisation. As per discussion, your query was escalated to the Cluster Specialist Management Team and the feedback provided is that you were advised that they cannot take responsibility if anything happens to his device while charging.

The matter was escalated to SAPS who will need to advise further. Regards Consumer Website Team

Best regards,
