Vodacom STOLE THOUSANDS OF RANDS through a debit order that I never bought.
For the second time in a few years, Vodacom has ****** thousands of rands from me. This time it was in the form of "Vodafone Live" product which I never bought. They debit between R250 and R300 PER MONTH for this "product". Except no one, not even the call centre, can tell me what this "product" is or does.
Of course, no one could help me with the query, neither was I allowed to speak to a "specialist technician" who oversees the process. "They'll call you" I was told -- and, in keeping with the rest of Vodacom's customer relations -- I have no doubt they never will.
The last time this happened about 2 years ago, I never received a refund -- they stole at least R2000 from me.
When I told them I was cancelling my contract with immediate effect, they then made a pretense of offering me a "discount" on a new contract to stay. This turned out to be a lie. They were just offering me a promotion that was generally available to the public. What another slap in the face. In effect, Vodacom is saying "You're a valuable client and we don't want you to go, but wait, we won't do ANYTHING -- ANYTHING AT ALL out of our normal practices to get you to stay".
ON PRINCIPLE, after at least 12 years of contracts with Vodacom during which time I was a perfect customer who always paid on time, I AM LEAVING TO MTN. Can't wait to NEVER have anything to do with you again, guys!!!!
Oh, and you deserve to be losing market share.
