Vodacom stole my data
DATA I cancelled my contract with Vodacom. The day (30/10/2017) before my number was moved from contract to prepaid I had about 2GB in my account. On the next morning (31/10/2017) I received messages that my number was moved to prepaid. To my surprise there was also a message that said my data was finished. How is it that I lose the data when I have paid for it?? This is theft.
PREMATURE CONTRACT CANCELLATION I always received my data on the morning of the first of every month. But now because I am cancelling the contract things are being processed on the 30th when the month ends on the 31st; why??? What about the last day of the month?? Is the contract not until then??
CALL CENTRE Agent: Thando Reference number: 1- ********** ********** I called the Vodacom call centre and spoke to someone by the name of Thando. I was so flabbergasted by the poor level of competence of this guy. I explained to him my problem, he asked me some security questions and said to me I have lost my data because of the Vodacom process. Apparently when you cancel a contract with Vodacom you lose all the left over data/airtime that you have at the time of cancellation. Which I do not get. I asked Thando if he can send me an extract where it says I will forfeit my data, because this was not communicated to me, he didn't sound like he knew because he kept saying it's the process.
