Vodacom still deducting money months after confirmation that payments would be stopped
After hours spent on the phone with Vodacom's customer service over a period of weeks after cancelling and buying out my Vodacom contracts, I was assured that the recurring payments would finally be STOPPED. I was specifically assured that a certain small amount would be deducted one last time, after which NO FURTHER payments would be deducted.
Now, MONTHS LATER, I find that Vodacom is still deducting an amount of R9.58 from my account every month. Vodacom, this is *****ing. You are *****ing my money. This might not seem like much money monthly, but Vodacom has NO RIGHT to this money. You do not have my permission to deduct this amount - in fact, I was assured after my continuous requests, that ALL SERVICES had been cancelled. How DARE you still deduct money I do not owe you from my account? Dealing with your company has caused me more than enough mental and emotional stress.
I am posting this review to warn others: Cellphone contracts are seldom necessary and usually cost a lot more than they are worth. If you absolutely HAVE to make the decision to take out a cellphone contract, DO NOT USE VODACOM.
I have sent their cancellations department an email about this today which has still not been acknowledged.
