Vodacom *****s money and *********** to close my account

Vodacom *****s money

Just another customer struggling with the same issue...

My 24-month contract has expired, but I am still being billed - after contacting Vodacom to close the contract! In order to avoid the automatic continuation of the debit order, I have phoned, e-mailed and re-phoned on several occasions. I have ensured to get in contact with this inadequate organisation, well in advance to take the correct steps to avoid this exact situation.

I was initially informed to get in contact with Vodacom early in April to ensure that my contract debit order will be stoped as I have requested the number to be nullified, on the last day of my contract.

As is customary - the call was recorded for training purposes. I was issued with a reference number that confirms my contract has been stopped and that no debit orders will be deducted again. As per the telephone call and recording - I was assured that my contract was cancelled and that no further debit orders will be deducted from my account. It was confirmed by the agent that the last debit order for that contract was the one deducted from my account on 1 April 2021. Not surprisingly, another debit order has been deducted from my account. The incompetence is astonishing!

I urge Vodacom to please look at and listen to all my contact points with your staff and tell me if Im wrong?

Please see to it that my money is transferred back to my account, with the accrued interest! I am abroad and you will have to get in contact with me on my international cell number or on my email address. My country code is +31 (Netherlands)

Dear Vodacom

Once again - you have failed to listen and acknowledge the claim that I have made & also to follow through on your word.

I urge you to please do the following:
1. Listen to the voice recording on your system - referring to my recorded voice call with your staff - ensuring that no further debit orders will be deducted. Ref: 1-**********1774
2. Refer to your previous message with reference *** - where you explicitly state that my contract ends 01-05-2021. How can you the charge me for another month of a contract that has expired? But guess what - I just received another notification from my bank that a debit order has been deducted for the value of R1138,99

I hereby LEGALLY demand a return of both the DEBIT orders that you have *******ly deducted from my account with interest accrued!
1. R1238.00 3 May (2021)
2. R1138,99 (1 June 2021)

Total amount returnable R2376,99

I will take this matter further, as you are *******ly *****ing money from my account after I have cancelled my contract and received numerous reference numbers for these requests!

Please contact me on +***0 as I am in Europe for the foreseeable future!
