Vodacom *****s data and airtime for the third month in a row
If I could rate less than one star, at this point, I would. Third month now that my airtime and data have disappeared. Converted airtime to 250 mb of data. Balance was then R 100+ airtime and the 250 mb data... within the hour it was gone.
Happened to me last month too. Also happened in March. Same happened to my cousin in March too. My cousin went in store as she was told she can't be helped over the phone. I phoned the call center and was given some stupid story about data running in the background, but no explanation as to what it was that was running, size of the supposed download....or even if it was a download. Just "your phone is always roaming for data in the background"... I understand this...but to lose 250 mb within (in that case) 5 minutes, as well as the over R 100+ airtime that was left, and then now again two months later for the same to happen... This cant be a coincidence. Especially when the exact same thing happens to my cousin at the exact same time. My sister, mother and father have also been losing airtime and date since March, however, I seem to be the only one losing it for the third time in as many months.
My family and I have all been using Vodacom for years, but we are all getting ready to find new service providers at the end of our contracts. Poor service delivery, ****** airtime, and ****** data and we just have to take it with no explanation? I don't think so... Oh....and telling us that the systems were changed / upgraded and that it was a glitch in the system....come on....that's been a recurring response for 3 years for every time you have messed up...no matter what the ***** up may have been... you seriously telling me you haven't figured out a way to resolve this issue after 3 years of system upgrades? Please....take responsibility. If someone messed up...just resolve the issue. Stop passing the blame to your systems, or the cellphone, the tablet, the contract and whatever other dumb explanation you wish to come up with. It's the systems fault once...after that it's yours for not attending to the problem. As for the phone....there's no way that a phone with the same software on it for months suddenly starts using more data out of the blue.... I used to survive on 500 - 750 mbs of data a month, more during "festive seasons" of course.... but now....its the 8th of the month and the 250mbs of data that should have seen me through till at least late May has suddenly vanished into thin air... And do you think my account / contract will be credited for the R 200+ airtime that I have lost over the months, or the 500+ mbs of data that has disappeared or the extra cash I have had to pay in order to make use of the phone in any way (i.e. additional airtime and data to replace what was essentially ******)... The answer is a resounding no...all you get is ignored, excuses and your usual debit order just being taken off... Well done Vodacom... 4 customers and at least 10 contracts gone from your clearly over burdened system as a result of your negligence.... Perhaps now your systems will not be so burdened any more and less incidence such as the above will occur.
