Vodacom *****ing money from customers!
A letter sent to Vodacom on the 5th of November, again on the 27th of November. Vodacom stole money from me and I haven’t received one cent in refund. In the meantime I signed up for my husband’s new contract, but this is ridiculous! Is this the way Vodacom sweeps situations like this under the rug by just ignoring it?
“I am shocked to say that I have emailed this complaint on the 5th of November already and only 1 person phoned me saying she is sorry to hear about this but Vodacom will refund the hand instalment fees. THATS IT?????? I have not received any refund and that is not even nearly good enough!!! Vodacom trying to hush me and sweep this under the rug??? No way!!! I am one of your very loyal customers. My husband and I both have been for quite a few years. But today I totally lost my trust in Vodacom and was really set back because of this. I have been paying for a product for almost 2 years that I never received and didn’t know it, until today. If I did not notice this today, this would never have been rectified. My husband’s contract are currently due for upgrade but we are seriously thinking of changing from Vodacom as service provider. When he signed up for the Samsung J4 contract he has now, the wrong phone was delivered at my work. I contacted Vodacom immediately and a courier came to fetch the wrong (new)phone and replaced it with the correct one a week or so later. As I never go through my invoices because I completely trust Vodacom to sell products with no hidden costs, and the payment goes off via debit order, we totally went on with our lives. My phone came up for an upgrade a few days ago and I signed up for a new contract online, so I am waiting for my new contract phone. I will soon be upgrading my husbands phone as well, so I went on my pc and browsed the packages. Then I went on the Vodacom/Invoicing page to really dig deep to see what our costs really are, to compare it with new deals. This is where I became aware of a “Handset Fee” of R65 that we pay TWICE per month since he signed up for his current contract. I phoned Vodacom, spoke to a friendly Iketsetseng Mokhele for exactly 58 long minutes. She tried her best to figure out what the reason for this was. Long story short, Vodacom NEVER cancelled the first handset fee of R65 for the wrong phone delivered to me and I kept on paying for it, as well as for the replacement phone. So I paid for 2 handsets all these many months without knowing it. I really put my trust in Vodacom and expected a smooth and honest debit order fee I paid regularly every month, but in fact Vodacom was *****ing from me for many months and I as the client had to stumble across this glitch in your system. Even if this was never discovered by me, I would still have continued to be the loyal customer I have always been. Trust for me is a big thing. Huge. Disappointment is an understatement for what i feel towards Vodacom today. A trusted cell phone provider should go that extra mile to make sure people get what they sign for, not pay for what they did not sign up for. A client wants to feel safe in the hands of a company who takes money from them and be rest assured. A refund of R65 for all these months really isn’t going to do it. I work for a huge animal feed producing company, and I can tell you with all honesty, if we would let a customer pay for tons of feed incorrectly weighed and let the customer discover this all by himself after many months, we will be front page news with a few fired staff on top that. I am upgrading my husband’s phone week and I expect a better than fantastic deal. I am buying the same phone for my husband which I signed up for myself this month. Samsung A31 - 128gig. Contact me with your solution. I have never been as dissatisfied in any company ever in my life.
Is this the way you deal with customers???? Get someone with real savvy to phone me back, and NOT SOMEONE WORKING FROM HOME WITH A BABY CRYING IN THE BACKGROUND!!!! “
