Vodacom - *****ing here and there.. just a little off the top.
I recently started checking my monthly Vodacom bill as I have been receiving R2500+ invoices for the past few months and my contract is for R1 148.01 a month, and after a very long conversation it was established that my contracted monthly minutes are not being used/deducted and that I was being billed for voice calls from day one, which I have been promised will be corrected and that the account department will be in contact “shortly” to assist with doing a back track on my bills to see if Vodacom will be reimbursing me for this mistake…I am not holding my breath. The second question was around what Vodacom refers to as “entertainment services” which is billed at R 261.00 and I was told it is a R10 a day prescription fee for a game called "p-squarem-hooked", which I have never downloaded or agreed to carry subscription costs for. I went as far as to search the net to see if I couldn’t find something on this game to reference and I could not find a single link. This begs the question, does this game even exist? Vodacom, I feel you know the answer because all I found where complaints that month on month you have been *****ing money from knowing clients. I would think that you as a cellular provider would have investigated as I can see there are complaints as far back as December 2017. So in an attempt to just solve another mathematical issue I asked the call centre agent to explain to me how there are either 30 or 31 days in a month (barring February) and if I am getting charged R10 a day how this subscription is charged at R 261.00 per month, to which he rep**** “I have no idea but your prescription has been cancelled”. I responded saying that I did not ask you to do that but to tell me how these numbers add up, and then I asked why it is so easy to cancel a prescription and how Vodacom can simply do this if I signed up for it from my mobile device? Should I not be cancelling this service the same way I signed up? Legally this is how it works when I am being billed and hold responsibility for payments each month? Again the response was “I don’t know”. Lastly I asked for the details of the account to which this fee is going to as this is not a “Vodacom game or app” (i.e. it is not being managed/facilitated by Vodacom and a 3rd party is Vodacom on behalf of me) and again the response was “I don’t know”. So at the end of the call I was securely left with the sense that you do know but you think people are stupid and won’t escalate this matter as it is ***** and rather just say, I have cancelled this subscription and answer the rest with the classic ï don’t know”. Vodacom, you are a bunch of *******. I have been a customer for many many years and NEVER have your company had any issues with me paying my monthly bill. Let’s see how your already unpopular client services deals with this and I look forward to seeing the resolve which by the comments on hellopeter will be laughable to say the least.
To quote Mobutu Sese Seko If you *****, do not ***** too much at a time. You may be arrested. ***** cleverly, little by little.
