Vodacom *****ing again

I can't explain my frustration, with this company.. We cancelled our Vodacom contract in September 2018.. We paid the early cancellation amount after having to go back and forth to get the correct settlement amount as they initially said we had taken out a 48 month contract which was completely incorrect!! It was a 24 month contract. After having to call numerous times and aventully getting them to cancel it. We have since phoned twice to confirm the cancellation but without fail they still deducting money off my account.. Which is unacceptable.. I recommend the money to be refunded and the account to be closed, as I now see this as theft and legal action will be taken.. See reference number below.. (1- ********** ********** ) Vodacom is ********* *****ing from the people.

Good morning Thank you for your response. Thank you for your efforts in trying to contact me, however as I am out of the country, I could not take the call. With regards to the account in question, we have made a call from an international number on the 14th November, where we went through numerous departments to finally get an answer. After 'cancellations' told me to contact 'accounts', they have advised me that although I cancelled my contract in September, payed the early cancellation fee (originally I was told it was over R7500 for a 48 month contract which was completely incorrect. Someone in your cancellations department finally got it right and sent me the correct quote of R2500 for the 24 month contract I had taken out) and sent though all the supporting documents to the email address on the cancellation quotation, my contract was only cancelled mid October! The lady in accounts yesterday was also shocked to hear from cancellations, that the reason it took so long to cancel my contract was that there was a back log on the system. Due to the cancellation taking place during the course of the following month, not only was R338 debited from my account in October, but a further R187 was debited from my account on 1st November. It is terrible that your customers have to pay for Vodacoms backlog. I have also been told that these amounts will not be refunded. Your accounts department has confirmed that my account is no longer active & that there are no more invoices generated on the system for the up coming months. In lieu of this, I expect that there will be no more invoices sent to me as well as no more debits off of my account. Vodacom as a whole needs to focus on their communication, not only with their clients, but within their departments.
