VODACOM *****ING AGAIN

I entered into a 24 Month Contract at a set fee of R168.5 (R170.53 because of VAT increase). I am now in my 10th month of the 24 month period and Vodacom Unilaterally without any say or choice in the matter, have increase the monthly fee with R47 (27,56%) to R217.53. 2 Months ago I inquired about the possibility to cancel the contract and was advise that it was to soon and that there was still 16 months left before the 24 months are past. I was given a cancellation fee that was +-20% more than the outstanding 16 months were going to cost me. As a consumers we are kept hostage by companies with evil business practices and not honorable in the way they honor the Contract/Agreement.

Reviewer Update
Vodacom has send me an Email pointing out the T&C's. It is always so convenient to refer a client/consumer to the T&C's. It does not mean the T&C's are fair and just. Are service providers interested in expanding their cleint base or reduce it. Then Vodacom should strongly re-considder when to apply a certain T&C's and when not, or remove some T&C's. Vodacom is bullying consumers with their advantage position they have over their cleints/consumers as well as being abusive with consumers ignorance on T&C's and not pointing these important clauses out at the time of signing the contract. This particular Clause is important and could have a direct negative impact on the consumers cashflow. VODACOM spend's MILLION's (if not BILLIONS) on marketing and advertising to create Brand Awareness and Cultivate Brand LOYALTY, only to destroy this achievement after the client/consumer is cornered OR KEPT HOSTAGE (I can't see it any different than being kept hostage, since Vodacom can increase the price before 24 month agreement period is over, and the client cant't exit the agreement without any fee's payable. The client also paid fee's to enter into such an agreement that is suppose to be honered for 24 month period). Perhaps less should then be spend on advertising and supplement subsequent increase in cost on Vodacom's side to honor their 24 month agreement and keep the BRAND LOYALTY IN TACT. It does not make sense to spend so much on attracting clientèle only to destroy their loyalty with hidden "****s" and underhanded T&C's only in favor of Vodacom without any exit option for the client/consumer free from ANY fee's or charges. Re-think your ********* business practice VODACOM.
