Vodacom staff tampered with my banking details
I recently had a problem with Vodacom where they incorrectly debited my account with over R2000 extra and for the longest time, they were unable to figure it out. This caused a mess with my account with them. This month I waited and waited for a debit order and nothing. I spoke to the first consultant who told me that there must be a mistake but from their side a debit order should have gone through. I then waited and later on today decided to call angain and I was told that one of the consultants forgot to replace my banking details onto my account and as a result, my account was not debited. The consultant said that it reflects as a self-payer. Now, I have never ever self-paid and I do everything online. Her options to me were to go instore and pay myself or to restore my details and be double debited at the end of July. Now my question as a person who also deals with clients is this. Should I now be inconvenienced and go hunting for a Vodacom to pay? My agreement with Vodacom is to pay via bank why change now? also why ask to confirm my banking details at the beginning of the call if the banking details have not been replaced? Why do I need to be inconvenienced because Vodacom was at fault? I am sorry Vodacom but if you think you can mess up and then expect your customers to run after you with money then I am sorry. I would rather leave the network if that's how you work. I must be double debited because your staff forgot to put back my details? No! I am getting very sick and tired of you guys now. Vodacom if you are failing at your job with me then can we perhaps just cancel everything because I am extremely angry and after what you did last month I shouldn't even be on this network.
