VODACOM STAFF NOT DOING THEIR JOBS
My husband passed away in July 2021 due to Covid. I kept paying his phone although not being in use any longer. At the time, I had more urgent issues to attend to. In September 2022 I transferred all the contracts on his name onto my name. The attendant suggested that I should first transfer all numbers and then cancel my husband's contract as I was paying it from month to month as the contract expired in 2021 already. In January/February 2023 I cancelled his number. In March 2023 I was at Tygervalley store again and the manager assured me that it was send to Head Office but they failed to do anything about this. The manager assured me that he fixed it on the system. I started calling the number given to me to cancel over the phone. This I did a couple of times to no avail. In December 2023 I was at the store again as it was still not cancelled and I was paying all the way. He called the number for cancellations and I spoke to a lady and explained that I do not wish to go onto prepaid and cancel the number entirely. Well, we are in February 2024 and I am still paying his account. I received an email saying that it was approved for me to go onto prepaid - which was not my request. His contract was in the amount of R357.49 so in effect I paid R3574.90 for the fun of it since Vodacom staff is not doing their jobs! Pathetic!
