Vodacom Spam added to Call Alerts

Hello Peter <br> Vodacom is adding spam to my cel phone message alerts. eg Funeral cover. <br> I find this extremely annoying<br> Why is this?<br> Why is there no stop receiving function? Is this not a requirement for direct marketing?<br> The call centre takes forever to answer and then advises me that they don't know how to stop this and to go in to the service centre to try and get it stopped!
