Vodacom Smart Platinum 7, A no go!

I upgraded to a Vodacom Smart Platinum 7 a month ago and have been going from pillar to post since I received the handset to find glass protectors and a case to prevent damage in the event of anything going wrong. Subsequent to this, all the branches I have visited in the informed me that they didn’t even know of this phone was in existence yet alone any accessories being available.. I unfortunately dropped my phone resulting in the screen being cracked (which could have been prevented if accessories were available for this phone but to date, nothing….) I sent it in for repair under job no. ********** 6 which I have now been informed that Vodacom cannot repair screens on their own devices and quoted me R3600 to replace the handset. I ask you this…. How can you launch your own handset yet have no protective accessories available for it as well as not being able to repair it???? And the attitude of your repair centre agent was to take it or leave it. If I was privy to this information, I would have never made the purchase to begin with!!! And I implore others not to buy this handset because of this fact. Third party stock availability is no excuse because if this is the case, you have a massive problem with your third party and they are costing you business.

I know that I am a small drop in ocean with the amount you bill me (barring the fact that historically, I was a platinum customer for many years) but based on what I have now experienced, my newly revised contract will be exhausted and ill quietly move along. I trust that you will take this information and put it to good use for future upgrading customers to avoid further churn on a subscriber base im sure you are working hard on trying to retain….

Thank you.

Sincerely.
