VODACOM SIMSWAP SHAMBLES

Last year I bought a phone and was given a vodacom simcard upon completing the Rica process in store. I received the vodacom number. Yesterday I checked my phone after 22:00 and saw that a simswap had been done at 18:00. By then my Sim had been kicked off the network and I had to wait until today for a response to my Facebook Messenger. They responded and apparently did the reverse and it was advised that my data and minutes were still in tact. I waited for 6 hours and asked via Messenger what was happening regarding the simswap reversal. The agent said the information I supp**** was incorrect (which I double checked and it was correct.)Nonetheless they did the reversal and it took effect immediately, but my data had been used. I am struggling to get a definitive answer as to whether I will have my data refunded. Then I received a call from an agent stating that the person who did the simswap says the number is his. I said no it's my number. The number was flagged and identification has to be provided at a Vodacom branch to do the next simswap.

1) My personal information has been given away without verification, what does the Rica process mean?

2) This person (whether previous owner of number or *******) has access to my sensitive information.

3) The data and services I purchased has been spent in the time I was off the Vodacom network.

I can't call a human being and the bots are generic. The Red Team has been useless too. Very poor that my information can be passed on so easily and no accountability is taken by Vodacom. I use this number for business and I have had to sit around trying to get it back and my data is depleted so I still cannot work.

Poor Poor Poor service!!!
