Vodacom sims swap rip-off

Can someone please explain why Vodacom is ripping us off with prepaid sim swaps. I wanted to do a sim swap so when I call customer care on Saturday (01/02/2025), the consultant told me the sim swap couldn't be process and the system is not giving a reason, so I must go to a branch, mind you she didn't even do any ID verification, or anything like that, they usually ask a few verification questions. Today (03/02/2025), I left work early to sort out this issue. When I got to the branch (Durban city center) their system was offline so they told me to come back tomorrow and that the sim swap would cost me R100. R100! For a prepaid sim swap. Why is Vodacom exploiting us? I have been with the for as long as I can remember having a phone, through all their problems, expensive data prices and all their shenanigans but this is a bit too far. It's daylight *******. I am truly considering changing service providers, these ****** have killed any respect I had for the company. It will be tedious to change service providers but it can't be worse then Vodacom utterly poor service. Sies, this is sickening. Thank the lord for the new upcoming e-sim service provides, the couldn't have come soon enough. Over 20 years with Vodacom and I think it's time for a divorce, disgusting practices from them.
