Vodacom sim swap = pain in the a**

On Friday 31 March 2017, I went into the Vodacom branch in Secunda Mall, and moved my prepaid number to a contract option with a new phone, and because the new phone has a nano sim card I had to do a sim swap, the consultant informed me that I should recieve an sms within four hours from Vodacom saying that I should now use the other phone/sim. Fours hours passed and nothing sms, so I did a bit of research and found that it actually can take anywhere between 1 and 24 hours to activate, so I waited... 24 hours passed and no change, I phoned Vodacom only for a consult to tell me that it is in progress and there is nothing she can do. I then went back to the branch and the consultant there told me the same thing. It has now been 48 hours and still no change. If this is the type of service that "South Africa's largest network" is providing then Vodacom you can take the phone and contract back. Also please do not reply to this with a generic "Dear Sir we are sorry to hear about this, a consultant will be in touch with you shortly." You either activate my number or terminate my contract. Simple as that.
