Vodacom SIM Recovery Issue Now Affecting Banking And Business

I am reaching out publicly as I am now facing an extremely serious situation regarding my Vodacom account and SIM card recovery, despite multiple attempts to engage through the proper channels.

Following an ongoing disputed matter and previous escalations, I recently received confirmation from the collections office that my account is no longer with their offices and has been escalated back to Vodacom for feedback and handling.

However, despite this, I am still unable to recover or replace my SIM card and mobile number.

This situation has now gone far beyond simple inconvenience.

The inability to recover my number is affecting:

access to banking OTPs, business communications, WhatsApp access and years of accumulated contacts/chats, legal and Ombud-related communications, and general account security linked to my mobile number.

I have already attempted escalation through Vodacom stores and management, however I continue to find myself trapped between departments without a practical resolution or clear ownership of the matter.

What is particularly distressing is that the longer this continues, the greater the risk becomes of permanent loss of professional and personal data accumulated over many years.

I am not attempting to avoid engagement or responsibility. I am simply requesting urgent intervention from somebody within Vodacom who is authorised to properly review and escalate this matter before irreversible damage is caused through continued lack of access to my number.

At this stage, I urgently require:

proper escalation, clear communication, and a workable solution regarding recovery of my SIM and mobile number.

I sincerely hope this matter can now receive the urgent attention it requires.

At present, I unfortunately do not have access to a functioning phone and can therefore only reliably communicate via email, which makes urgent resolution of this matter even more critical.
