Vodacom sim cards not working

I purchased a Vodacom simcard from Pep stores when you put it in the phone you get no service (no signal picked up ) I contacted 111 to get help I was told to get another sim card which I did same problem .contacted 111 was told to wait 24 hours same problem phoned 111 told to return sims to shop and get new ones I went to Pep stores and they tell me it is a network problem and all the vodacom customers have the same problem 111 refuse to believe this . Bought A Telkom mobile sim works straight away I now have 2 Ricoed Vodacom sims that dont work
