Vodacom shopping voucher promises are a ****
In June I wanted to cancel my contract with Vodacom because I was dissatisfied. A Thabo in cancellations & retentions department managed to convince me to stay. My plan was changed and an upgrade was effected. Part of the upgrade deal was that I would receive shopping vouchers on both my lines. On 22 July I contacted Vodacom and I was transferred to cancelations & retentions department, where I spoke to a Thabiso. He said the vouchers are not created on the Vodacom side, so I should contact the people at ExpectMorePromos because they are the ones who manage the vouchers process. On the same day, I sent an email to *** to find out what was happening with the vouchers. To date, I didn't received a response to the query. Today (26 August) I called the ExpectMorePromos people telephonically on *** and I was told that Vodacom did not create the vouchers, and that the Vodacom cancellations & retentions department must resolve this query. I contacted Vodacom cancellations and retentions department again, and I spoke to Rose. She told me that I should contact Comit Technologies because I did my upgrade through them. That is when I decided to put my foot down. In my knowledge, I have a contract with Vodacom and I did my upgrade with Vodacom. If there are 3rd parties involved, Vodacom should address them instead of sending me from pillar to post. Now I'm starting to think that this voucher promise was a **** just to make me upgrade my contract and keep me for another 2 years. If that's the case, then I was misinformed and I want to cancel the contract with zero penalties.
