Vodacom shop wetsgate mall

I got an sms claiming somebody submitted a request to replace my Sim card, days later my Sim was deactivated. I went to Vodacom Westgate mall, the consultant by the name of Mary refused to help me Caz they don't accept driver's license as a form of identification, I had proof of residence, an d I was also asked to list 5 numbers I called with the Sim card being replaced or get affidavit from police station.she refused only because am using driver's license eventhough i had another contract with vodacom. So I asked how did the person who swaped my Sim manage to do it if they have all this strict security measures and she said online/over the phone you can do Sim swap without ID, my wife also had a similar problem and she was assisted because she had an ID and what is worse there is no investigation and yet you are forced to pay for a new Sim card. If your system is not linked to home affairs why insist on ID, I have used this number for more than 20 years, I will rather lose it that being subjected to useless controls that failed to protect me, I am going to cancel the other contract I have with Vodacom
