Vodacom Shop refuses to assist with dead battery

The World is going ABSOLUTELY crazy!! Yesterday in the mall my phone's battery dies and I need a number on my phone to pick up a parcel for my wife at Postnet. I walk into Vodacom 4U in Vaal Mall asking for assistance to charge my phone for 5 min only to retrieve the number from my phone. "No, they said we cannot assist we don't have a charger." Ok, so I walk back to my car in the parking area and to get my charger. Back at Vodacom 4U I talk to Marco and then the manager Mr Gert Maass. According to them it is against their rules to assist me in charging my phone with my own cable. EXCUSE ME??? What the hell is happening in the world if a Vodacom shop cannot assist you, as a Vodacom client, with a quick charge of your battery. This is the biggest BS I've hearrd for a very long time - perhaps even in my entire life. Thanks to Mr Gert Maass, you are an excellent example of what customers service should NOT be.
