Vodacom shocking service

Vodacom automaticall purchased data to the amount of almost R600 on a data auto purchase which occurred during the night of 10 November while my phone was connected to wifi and I was sleeping. This while my device has always been configured to only update/download anything when connected to WiFi. Immediately after seeing that through the night I received 72 odd messages ragarding data that has run out and an auto purchase will be done I tried to contact Vodacom (a mission!) to find out what the problem was and to obviously have this canelled. As I didn’t get through to a human I went the nearest Vodashop which informed me that they are only a franchise and unable to assist at all. I was told I must cancel this on the app, to no avail. Eventually I got through and then Vodacom allegedly cancelled the auto data telephonically, but it still took 48 hours. Now, 28 Nov it seems not to be cancelled! This afternoons message at 14:23 reads: There's less than 58MB remaining of your data bundle on ***. Vodacom will auto-purchase 100MB for R29 (valid for 30 days) when your data runs out. I called Vodacom daily from 11 November until I was assured on Monday 18 November, that the matter will be attended to by the backoffice investigations - a line that I have now heard too many times! This after Vodacom closed the inquiry via sms twice without calling me with so much as an explanation. I have now waited 8 working days since my last contact with Vodacom and there has been no response, despite the number of phone calls (lengthy and very inconvenient as I have to explain my situation again and again and again). This afternoon I called again and was told that the investigation is still going on, and also that their policy is to respond within 5 – 7 working days. All in all it has been two weeks! The MyVodacom app is not working sufficiently. When one does need data, which only seems to happen to me when Vodacom messes up or I go on holiday once every two years far away from home or work wifi, you are not able to purchase data unless you want it either to expire in one hour or 24 hours. THis service seems to fluctuate and the app is never the same! How rediculous! Both my parents are pensioners and rely on their pay as you go data purchases. And despite their settings being as mine are and they are connected to wifi most of the time, their purchased data seems to run out within a day. This is impossible. They don’t download much if anything. It seems as if Vodacom has automatically set things to bring in more revenue on their side. Vodacom's service has been horrible I am sorry to say.
