Vodacom ****ty as usual

If I could give Vodacom a minus 10 review I would. The last couple of months have just been uphill.

It all started in November where I was phoned and told that Vodacom would be dropping my subscription to R320 a month and giving me more airtime and data. Awesome Vodacom I thought! Ya! I should have known better, my contract went from R550 a month to R780. 00 a month in questioning Vodacom I found out I still have to pay for my phone on top of the upgraded subscription. Understandable, my mistake I should have thought.

Customer care then tells me I can cancel my subscription and then just pay for my phone. I request for my subscription to be canceled, the new month comes and my subscription STILL hasn't been canceled. I then email customer care asking why this hasn't been done and I get told my contract has actually reached it end term and they have escalated the issue because I've been paying for a phone when the contract had ended. A few weeks later, I follow up with Vodacom to find out what's happening, no my contract isn't actually finished they made a mistake. Okay fine, mistakes happen. Please cancel my subscription. I can't cancel the subscription until I pay for my phone now????? I can't downgrade my subscription either? So basically I'm upset because no one that works for Vodacom actually knows what is going on. They sit in front of computers with all of your information as a customer on that computer and they still don't know what is going on. I am so dissapointed, the service has been so **** since the get go and I've never regretted a decision more. My question is. If I'm still paying for the phone at R300 a month, why aren't I allowed to cancel the airtime and data subscription I'm paying for? I don't need the data or the airtime. Does anyone at Vodacom actually know what is going on???
