Vodacom Service Sucks
<p>Got a Vodacom account last month (December) with a charge of R 1 159.55 for data usage. November was R0.00 and January is R 38.93. I'm on contract and get data, which is not much, 500mb I think. But now here's the question...How can I use my contract data plus an additional R 1 159.55 data with only whatsapp...I don't have facebook, don't watch movies, don't do downloads or anything like that. If you look at what data costs if you recharge your data, I have basically used 500mb plus another 16gb just on whatsapp??? I phoned them on 09/01/2017 at 10:10 and 11/01/2017 at 11:30 spending in total almost 20mins explaining that I can't possibly use that much of data just on whatsapp. I was assured by the second time that it was a mistake on their part and that they will refund me and send me a confirmation e-mail. Still waiting...I don't want a credit Vodacom. It is a company phone which I pay for anything over the limit, so it is cash that was deducted from my salary not a credit. Vodacom YOU SHOULD GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER...you are a service provider and at this stage all you are doing is providing ********** I know of more cases if anybody would like to know. BOTTOMLINE...STAY AWAY FROM VODACOM OR ALTERNATIVELY CHECK YOUR ACCOUNTS EVERY MONTH.</p> <p>Regards</p> <p>Trevor Jordaan</p>

What a surprise. Computer answered my complaint. Just been on the phone now for another 30mins with another "super sharp" Vodacom employee at the service centre. According to her it's not Vodacom's fault, I did use 16.8gb on whatapp....what a bunch of clowns. I suppose they all got big Christmas bonusses on our behalf

The 1st call (09/01/17 at 10:10) I made to customer care the woman had no clue whatsoever what's going on. The second call I was told, after holding about 20mins for her to find out, that it was Vodacom's mistake and I will be refunded (check your recorded calls 11/01/2017 at 11:30. The third call I made yesterday (25/01/17 at 11:08 - which took 29mins) I was told that I used all my airtime and that's why the charges went into my data...then when starting to question the answer the phone was put down in my ear and believe it or not Vodacom then expected me to complete a questionair about the quality of their service...ARE YOU BEING SERIOUS. SO which one of the above answers are the correct one, because now there's a 4th one telling me I used the data on google... let me just say this again...I don't have facebook, don't watch movies, don't do downloads or anything like that..I don't want a credit Vodacom. It is a company phone which I pay for anything over the limit, so it is cash that was deducted from my salary not a credit.
