*********** Vodacom service resulting in harassment

I am writing to express how appalled I am and continue to be with the *********** service I receive from Vodacom.

First of all, it was a hassle to cancel the Vodacom contract. I was under the impression I had successfully terminated the contract in March/April 2022, months after its 24-month contract completion. The consultant assisting me instructed that I call the relevant departments such as the contract dept & insurance dept myself to order cancelation thereafter it was my responsibility to return her call to confirm cancelation in all aspects. Shortly after "cancelation" my network was cut for sometime as my line became prepaid. This was another problem that required me to call a million times for it to be rectified.

During my 24 month contract, Vodacom regularly debited my bank account as stipulated and agreed to according to the contract T&Cs. Months later as a prepaid user to my surprise I receive a demand letter from Vodacom accompanied by multiple calls from debt collectors demanding Vodacom payment.

It is hell getting assistance from Customer Care as they are reluctant to help prepaid customers. Furthermore, it is exceptionally difficult to speak to a human representative as Vodacom utilized useless Tobi.

I have sent countless emails that get no response. In July 2022 I left and honest and dissatisfied Hello Peter review that resulted in a representative calling and promising to assist me. He dishonored his word and failed to resolve the matter. Weeks later on 1 August, another vodacom rep contacted me by the name of Manasseh who was just as useless.

Every few months this account bounces to different debt collectors who harass and violate consumer rights. I've experienced debt collectors who were desperate for me to settle that they offered a discount. The last agent who miraculously contacted me on 11 April 2024 at 14h48 due a poor rating I gave vodacom via sms about coverage identified herself as Happy Ganabo promised to assist in this matter and would contact me after reviewing voice logged calls which was a channel I utilized when canceling the contract. Yet again, Happy is another agent who disappeared.

The latest debt collectors who are attempting to contact me on a non-vodacom related line, only God knows where they've received that number from as they infringe on the POPI act, where I'm being threatened and harrased.

This is a kind request for a Vodacom representative who holds power and authority to contact me with the dedication and intention of resolving this issue in a timely and dignified manner. In addition I will be lodging a complaint with NCR.
