Vodacom service non existent !!! What happened to the well organised, competent company that used to be Vodacom??
I have an existing fibre contract with Vodacom. A month or so ago, I requested that the line be upgraded from a 10GB line to a 20GB line. What should have taken 48 hours to do the upgrade, took longer than a week! This was after many, many phone calls to Vodacom and dealing with a very rude staff member from Vodacom who I had to threaten to up his game and show a bit of respect and speak to me properly if he wants to represent a company like Vodacom. His attitude was ********** until I picked him out about it. I then app**** to Vodacom to have my fibre line relocated to my new premises. I phoned to find out what the process was and was advised that I needed to give 30 day notice but that it usually is done long before the 30 days is up. I sent the relocation form to Vodacom on the 18th of November 2020. I moved to my new premises on the 14th of December and made contact with Vodacom to explain that I needed to work from home and I kindly requested that they expedited the relocation for me. I have phoned virtually every day since the 14th of December and have been told a number of different things - a few answers were that the best they can do is expedite the matter to a manager. The other was that a whole new order has to be processed for the new fibre line etc. and that this would be e-mailed to me and that I would have to complete the form and e-mail it back to me (never mind I am sitting without a fibre line and struggling to connect with stupid rooters that are unreliable, still I have to fill in forms NOW that they could have informed me about when I was at my old premises with fibre. To date I have not received an e-mail. I asked if I could speak to a manager about the relocation but was told that they would contact me, it is not possible for me to be put through to a manager or to obtain a number for me to make contact with a manager. In my opinion, managers should be accessible and available to customers who have an issue that needs to be sorted out - they are not royalty that need to be protected. When a manager is not readily available, it makes me a bit uncomfortable that they need to 'hide away'. Are there so many problems with Vodacom that management don't have the ***** to take calls and deal with them? I am bitterly disappointed with Vodacom! I have been a customer with Vodacom since approximately 1999. Customer care is virtually non-existent! I have struggled so much this last week to get my work done, having to borrow rooters etc. to try and get my work done. The 30 day notice period I gave should have been sufficient! One of the Vodacom staff that I spoke to on Friday when I contacted customer services again told me himself that this should have been sorted out a long time ago. The fibre box is already installed at my new premises, I am sure it is not a complicated procedure. Someone is just too lazy or *********** to do their job ! Vodacom, I am so not impressed and am seriously considering finding another service provider for my fibre and the three cell phone contracts that I have with you! Shocking, shocking, shocking!!!!!!
