Vodacom service mysteriously deleted

<p>For a number of years, I have had a 3G data contract servicing a ****le for use in my laptop when out of the office. For a slightly lower number of years, I have had a "twin-sim" on that contract, so that my iPad can share that data. In mid-December 2016 Vodacom somehow cut off the twin-sim, so that my iPad is now Wi-Fi only.</p> <p> </p> <p>The device is not faulty (if I swap in another sim, 3G is restored), my account is not in arrears, and I haven't overshot my data allocation.</p> <p> </p> <p>Since mid-December, Vodacom has been unable to restore the service. I have been into a Vodacom shop numerous times. I have emailed the problem to Vodacom. I have asked for the problem to be escalated, first to a "supervisor", and later to "management", without successs. Regrettably, in frustration, my later emails to Vodacom referred to *********** supervisors and absence of Management, and now Vodacom has stopped corresponding with me altogether. (It will be interesting to see whether this HelloPeter submission results in any response at all from Vodacom.)</p>
