Vodacom service is very Disappointing…
Complaint: Vodacom Line Disconnected Without Reason
My Vodacom line was disconnected for no apparent reason, despite my account not being in arrears. I’ve received no explanation, and both the TOBi bot and the in-store staff were unable to assist.
I also witnessed a Vodacom employee speaking aggressively to another customer, which was very unprofessional.
This experience has been frustrating and unacceptable. I urgently need my line restored and proper support.

28 Nov 2025, 13:10Vodacom Vindictive and ******* continual Disconnection of My Line
Vodacom *******ly Disconnected My Line
Twice in One Week - No Notice, No Arrears,
CPA Violations
For the second time in one week, Vodacom has wrongfully and ********ly disconnected my line without issuing any notification, warning, or explanation. I have NO arrears, and my account is fully paid up.
Despite my multiple emails, calls, and attempts to resolve this through their standard channels, Vodacom has up to now provided no further assistance to reconnect my line, no transparency, and no accountability. The repeated suspension of
my line (2nd time in 2 days) appears vindictive and wholly unjustified.
This conduct is not only unacceptable but also in violation of the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), including:
- Section 54: Right to quality service, which includes timely, professional assistance and proper communication.
- Section 48: Prohibits unfair, unreasonable, and unjust business practices.
- Section 22: Requires all communication with consumers to be clear and timely - which Vodacom completely ignored by disconnecting my line without warning.
Vodacom's behaviour also contradicts their own obligation under the ICASA Code of
Conduct, which requires service providers to:
- Notify customers before suspension,
- Provide clear reasons,
- Ensure fair treatment,
- Maintain service where there are no arrears.
The repeated, baseless disconnection of my line has caused serious inconvenience, distress, and disruption. Vodacom has failed to treat me fairly and has disregarded both regulatory obligations and consumer rights
