VODACOM SERVICE IS SHOCKING!!!!!
GROSSLY DISAPPOINTED
1. 9th July: a. I was contacted by an agent representing Vodacom, who elaborated on how Vodacom can reduce my monthly costs; b. After a lengthy call, he confirmed the “deal” will only be initated on receipt of the “items” to be couriered to me. c. I requested he mail the 3 deals on offer for my records; d. The courier company arrived unannounced a few days later, to deliver the items, but they would not hand over the items, as I only had a certified copy of ID – he wanted originals!!! e. After a heated debate, he left, and I confirmed to him that the “deal” must be cancelled, which he confirmed will be done the following day; 2. 21st August: a. At around 19h00 at a restaurant I discovered my phone was missing; b. On returning home, I phoned Vodacom from ***, and reported the incident so as to black list the phone; c. I mentioned that the location on my phone had been deactivated already, was told the following: i. Due to “pending” offers not concluded yet on your systems (the 3 deals above) the agent could not blacklist my phone; ii. He confirmed: 1. He was escalating the query, and that I should not be concerned, and that I should receive an SMS shortly after the call confirming an “ITC number”, which would allow the phone to be blacklisted; 2. I was to then go to SAPS and report the incident, quote the ITC number on the Affidavit, and get a Case Number 3. I could then go to Vodacom Shop at Fourways and proceed with a claim. 4. I never received the promised SMS to *** with the ITC number! 3. 22nd August: a. I went to SAPS early on the day, and completed the incident report and Affidavit, but SAPS confirmed I could not get a case number due to the ITC number not present; b. I contacted the Call centre and pushed from pillar to post – still unable to get the phone blacklisted. c. I went to Vodacom Shop to get some answers and although Thabiso was extremely helpful, I was still unable to get the phone blacklisted; 4. 23rd August: a. On Monday morning I called Vodacom Direct and was told that a ticket was logged to escalate the matter as urgent, and I should receive a call within 24 hours; b. I took a chance by contacting *** the same afternoon, but was given the same story - its escalated, and should receive ITC number in the morning: 5. 24th August: a. With major deadlines today, I was only able to call Vodacom *** this afternoon; b. Layiso took my call, and prior to getting into any formal conversation, I was aware of severe arrogance, to the extent, I said to him: he should not actually be at work, if he is so abrupt on the phone ( I urge you to listen to the call made by me to *** at 14h15 from ***; c. All Layiso could tell me was that this is escalated to “ the back office” and when I asked to speak to a higher power, he told ne to send this mail.
In summary: a. My phone has been hacked due to these delays, and who knows what has transpired on a ********** basis! b. My phone has not yet been blacklisted; c. The 24hours turn-around time is long overdue! d. The ITC Number is required urgently for me to report the incident, get the Affidavit and lodge the claim with guess who? Vodacom Insurance!!! e. I demand that: a. As a loyal subscriber for 3 decades, this receives the urgency it deserves; b. I be treated like a paying customer; c. The phone be backlisted urgently! d. I be compensated for this absolute poor service!
