Vodacom Service

Vodacom customer care does not even deserve a single star rating. On 3rd November 2021, my Son was held up at gunpoint in peak hour traffic and had his cell phone taken from him. Not fun for an 18 year old to have a 9mm pistol ****ed to your head. The guy demanded his cell phone and laptop and told him he would shoot him if he doesn't hand over these items. Luckily his laptop was in his cricket kit in the boot. The cell phone was visible in the console between the seats. We phoned the Vodacom number 082 135 to have the phone blacklisted. When the consultant answered the call, there was such load music playing in the background. I could not hear her at all. When I asked her several times to turn off the music, she kept responding : Ntlantla speaking, how can I help you. Eventually after several requests for her to turn down the music she sighed and turned it down. She said that she is working from home. So what.... She then reluctantly took the details, only to reply after a long process, that she has completed the request. She called back after about 10 minutes to say that she cannot get into the system, to confirm the blacklisting. She said that I will receive the ITC NUMBER before 10am the next day. The next day nothing......... This type of incompetence from my very own service provider is unacceptable. Ntlantla's slackness and lack of customer service is pathetic to say the least. Vodacom, you're paying for people to work from home who couldn't give a ...... about your loyal customers. Thanks Vodacom, you have just lost me as a client as you have no control over *********** slack employees. I visited the Vodashop in Woodlands Mall the next day, and the consultant checked for me only to be told that nothing was entered onto the system and that the phone was not blacklisted. Surprise surprise....... Exactly what I expected to hear. The consultant proceeded to assist me and within 10 minutes she blacklisted the phone. I received the ITC number later that day.

Good bye Vodacom........
