Vodacom service and incorrect installment deduction

Complain sent to Africa complaints in November 2025

Good day

I trust this email finds you well.

It would be greatly appreciated if I could get a response at your earliest convenience, regarding this matter.

Account Number I***-5 Mr T Pienaar ***

We received non-stop calls from “rewards co” a few weeks ago, as well as around the 10th of November, I received a call, and a lady explained to me that she noticed on our contracts we took out we haven’t been using our free messages and mentioned she can change that into us receiving R400 airtime instead if we are happy doing that. We did not approve to that or say yes to anything of that sort, it is unacceptable for changes to be made “{by a third party” where I have not signed any documents to say I agree, whether it was discussed over the phone or not, it is unacceptable for a third party or anyone for that matter to make changes to a contract that I am paying for in a month, I did not give them the go ahead to change anything, in fact I was happy with how we took out our contracts with Vodacom, we didn’t bother about the messages, the lady explained that the instalment would also be lesser in a month if we doing it that way where they would take away the messages and give us R400 airtime instead.

I received a message on 10th November 2025. Quote: *** has been generated on your profile, and vetting has been approved. If you do not initiate this request, please urgently contact Vodacom customer care on 082 111 – Which the number doesn’t even work. So my argument yet again, why did the lady assume that it is ok to make changes if I haven’t approved anything?

Feedback received from Yandiswa from the CEO office on 09.12.2025. Good day Mandy,

The migration back to the original package has been completed, and the credit has been processed as requested.

Please note that the migration will be effective from 1 January 2026.

Kind Regards, Yandiswa Dilima Expert Resolution Centre CEOs Office COPS Further together

Nothing was done and changed back i am still getting billed double. For something I didn't sign and agree to.

Thanks Mandy ***
