Vodacom sells pbone not same as specifications
I am disappointed. I uograded my contract to a Huawei P30 lite. I specifically took this phone as I was told it is a duel sim phone like my old Huawei Y6. The staff at vodacom 4 U wvwn assured me this is a duel sim phone.
After months trying to get both sim cards to work, (there is space for two sim cards) I find that only sim one works. On settings sim 2 is greyed out.
Now I find I cannot use two sim cards on this phones . That is why I bought this!
I demand exchange of this phone or cancelation of the contract as the phone does not have tje features as on its specification and I must have a phone able to use two sim cards.
Please communicate your intentions ASAP

23 Jul 2020, 11:59I was at Vodacom 4U Hazyview where the owner Mohammed was very disappointed that I made this complaint. He said I shoukd have come to him first.
I want to stipulate my complaints are NOT against the Vodacom 4U shop or mr Mohammed BUT purely to Vodacom SP.
As it is apparently Vodacom as company who enforce thos rule of theirs that a dual sim phone will be blocked as to allow only one sim. Which is wrong. And I think ot should be clearly mentioned in all your shops and on a your pamflets that should you buy or upgrade to a dual sim phone, as oer factory specifications, VODACOM SP will NOT allow you to use two sim cards in such phone.
This is like undemocratic, and Hooray to cell C and Telkom who sells the same phone with the dual sim functionality activated by them, not choosing for their customers to block that functionality.
Would I knew that and would it be clarified to me that Vodacom is forcing this decision on to their customers I really would have moved to anoter provider for the same phone,, as they do allow it to be used dual sim.
I would never have upgraded to Vodacom if I knew that a dual sim phone as per factory specified on GSM arens AND HUAWEI websites, is being disabled by VODACOM service provider company.
Mr Mohammed was upset that I complained on hellopeter.com, but it really was NOT him or his shop I complaimed about. It is VODACOM SP.
Mohammed always only give me friendly and helpful service and it is not him who disabled that phone function. He maybe was not even aware of this himself, as he is under the impression this specific phone model is not a duel sim phone, however ot came from the factory that way.
I've read complaints om my broadband and other places about many people complaining about phones featuring duel sim capability, that is blatantly disabled by Vodacom.
A phone wouldn't be manufactured with two sim slots if it can only use one.
It was misleading. And now I have a phone I cannot used for the purpose I bought it.
Please don't just shove your complaints to the shop owner. It is not him, ot is YOU... VODACOM company.
