Vodacom seems to be worse than Telkom
Vodacom seems to be worse than Telkom. On Tuesday 1 December my Fibre went off during a storm at about 6 pm. My neighbour's Telkom internet also went off at the same time. Tried to call Vodacom but it was outside business hours. Phoned the next morning and was given a reference number SR***. I was told 24 to 48 hours. When I inquired the next day I was told it's not clock hours but office hours meaning a whole week! A whole week later it's still off. Telkom came and fixed my neighbour's internet on Friday morning. I kept phoning and messaging on Facebook and the only reply was "Please allow some time for feedback to be provided." I didn't call the week between Christmas and new year. When I called on Monday 4 January I was told the fault was logged off on 23 December as resolved. A new call was logged. This seems to be very convenient for Vodacom as the date the Service call was logged is reflected on the Service Request. Instead of having a Service request which shows the fibre was reported on 2 December I now have the service ticket SR*** which shows the fault was reported on the 5th of January - a very clever way to hide Vodacom's incompetence and inability to render service. An even bigger joke is that the debit order for December went through meaning I paid for a non-existent service and the invoice for January was received yesterday. Both my wife and I work from home since March when the lockdown started. I'm very disappointed and miss my Telkom ADSL.
