Vodacom seems to be a sneaky...
Kindly can you assist as a Vodacom customer for over a decade this type of lies and betrayal by Vodacom is not warranted. I took in my phone as there was a pink line on the screen, I googled it and saw it was common fault on the S7Edge. Took it to Lake Side Mall Vodacom, they then called me telling it’s R4700.00 to have the phone repaired as it’s out of warrantee. I told the lady it’s still not 24 month old. She advised that it is. So who was using the phone before I got it then???? Was I sold a 2nd hand model at bran new price? So I called Samsung to complain, they took down the IMEI number and told me the phone is still under warrantee. So I took it to SSS repairs here in the East Rand and they repaired multiple things on the phone under warrantee. See attached “SSS Job Card”
So I went back to Vodacom Lake Side and now I want my quote rejection fee that I paid back. . So I spoke to JD who had this long story about how the feed back that they could not fix the phone came from Samsung and the rejection fee is what the techs bill Vodacom and there is no way he is going to refund me, then he showed me the small mark on the phone and say that is why they rejected it and Samsung will also not accept this, so I showed him the Job card from Samsung that also stipulates, scratches on the back of phone and they still repaired it…. SO WHAT IS THE COME BACK NOW? so I shushed him and told him to please bring me the correspondence from Samsung where they declined the repair and I will leave the store. As my question is… why would they say yes to me and no to you. He said full on confidence that he will bring the rejection advise…. I waiting 15 mins… he came back with a letter for refund, where I must fill in my banking details to get the quote rejection fee back?!?!?!?!? Did I miss something here, he was so full of himself blaming Samsung from start to end and the fees that is non-refundable and it’s because the phone has a few minor scratches on it…This sounds to me like Vodacom wanted to do this job them self’s and make money of repairs that is clearly under warrantee.I really feel betrayed by Vodacom. Even when I upgraded… I got nothing with my phone. No accessories. I was told out of stock. I got a phone. End of story. No VR Set, No dex pad. O sorry, I got a R500 voucher to go buy the most expensive pouches in the store where they start at R550……
